Clinical Philosophy, Boutique Standards & Commitment to Outcomes

Why iRely Recovery

QUICK ANSWER

iRely Recovery is a licensed, 11-bed residential addiction treatment center in Los Angeles, operating at ASAM Level 3.5 High-Intensity Residential care. The program uses Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), developed at the Beck Institute, as its primary clinical framework, integrated with 13 evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care. iRely Recovery holds Joint Commission Gold Seal accreditation and DHCS License #191516AP, and treats both substance use disorder and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.

Choosing a residential treatment program is one of the most consequential decisions a person or family will ever make. The right questions at that moment are not about amenities. They are about clinical rigor, program scale, and whether the team will be honest with you about results.

This page covers all three: how we choose what works clinically, what eleven beds actually means in practice, and where our outcome data stands today.

CLINICAL APPROACH

Our Clinical Philosophy

iRely Recovery does not build treatment plans from a fixed menu. Every plan starts with a comprehensive intake assessment mapped against ASAM Level 3.5 criteria.

Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), developed by Dr. Aaron T. Beck and Dr. Ellen Inverso at the Beck Institute, is the clinical foundation of every treatment plan at iRely Recovery.

  • Standard CBT targets symptom reduction.
  • CT-R goes further: it rebuilds adaptive beliefs about identity, belonging, and possibility.
  • These internal belief systems are what sustain long-term recovery, not just short-term abstinence.
  • Peer-reviewed research from the Beck Institute demonstrates CT-R’s effectiveness for co-occurring addiction and psychiatric conditions.

Our Founder and CEO

iRely Recovery was founded in 2023 by Vinsent Franke, after he lost his son to addiction. That loss shapes how the program is built: every person who walks through our doors is treated as a person first, never just a number. We call it the “i” movement.

Franke’s own 21 years in recovery inform the clinical philosophy from the inside, not only from the outside. That perspective, paired with a clinical team led by Medical Director Dr. Brian Honeyman (MD, PhD), is why iRely Recovery treats lived experience and clinical rigor as equally necessary, not competing priorities.

BOUTIQUE CARE

Our Boutique Standards

At iRely Recovery, boutique has a specific clinical meaning: a maximum of 11 residents at any time.

Our Residence

Greenwood Manor, 17524 Napa St, Sherwood Forest, CA 91325

What Eleven Beds Changes Clinically:

  • Staff-to-client ratio. At 11 residents maximum, our clinical and support team maintains a ratio that large programs cannot replicate.
  • Group therapy quality. A small cohort means therapeutic groups are actual clinical conversations, not managed audiences.
  • Schedule flexibility. When a client needs an extended session or a modality adjustment, the clinical team acts the same day.
  • Clinical intensity is uncompromised. ASAM Level 3.5 requires 24-hour medical staffing, supervised detox capacity, and documented daily clinical contact regardless of facility size.

OUTCOMES

Treatment Outcomes

iRely Recovery maintains structured follow-up contact at 30, 90, and 180 days post-discharge for all consenting alumni.

SAMHSA research shows that programs with structured follow-up systems produce significantly better long-term outcomes than those without. Building a longitudinal follow-up dataset is a current operational priority.

What We Do Not Yet Publish

  • We do not publish aggregate completion rates or sobriety statistics at this time.
  • We are committed to producing data that meets the same standard we set for clinical care, independently verified and methodologically sound.
  • When our longitudinal follow-up dataset reaches statistical significance, we will publish it.

We believe transparency about what we don’t yet know is more useful than selectively reported statistics.

Frequently Asked Questions

CT-R (Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy) was developed by Dr. Aaron T. Beck and Dr. Ellen Inverso at the Beck Institute. It builds on standard CBT by targeting adaptive beliefs about identity and possibility that sustain long-term recovery. iRely Recovery uses CT-R as its clinical foundation because it has a specific evidence base for co-occurring addiction and psychiatric conditions.

ASAM Level 3.5 is the American Society of Addiction Medicine designation for High-Intensity Residential treatment. It requires 24-hour clinical and medical staffing, structured daily treatment, and supervised detox. iRely Recovery is DHCS licensed (#191516AP) at Level 3.5 and independently accredited by the Joint Commission.

DHCS licensure, Joint Commission Gold Seal, and LegitScript are standards-based, not size-based. An 11-bed facility meets the same clinical staffing, patient safety, and quality improvement requirements as a larger program.

Standard 30-day programs follow a fixed group schedule with limited individualization. At iRely Recovery, every treatment plan is built individually at intake and reviewed weekly. The 11-bed maximum ensures substantively higher therapist-to-client contact.

Yes. Dual diagnosis, co-occurring substance use disorder and a psychiatric condition, is the norm in our resident population. CT-R was specifically designed for this presentation. Medical Director Dr. Brian Honeyman (MD, PhD) provides psychiatric oversight throughout the residential stay.

Length of stay is determined by clinical assessment against ASAM Level 3.5 criteria. Residential stays typically range from 30 to 90 days depending on clinical presentation, detox history, and co-occurring conditions. Aftercare planning begins within the first week of admission.

Yes. iRely Recovery provides medically supervised detox as the entry point to the residential program, including 24-hour medical monitoring, withdrawal management, and medication-assisted treatment where clinically indicated.

Aftercare planning begins within the first week of admission. Alumni programming, outpatient coordination, and 30-, 90-, and 180-day follow-up contact are standard for consenting alumni. iRely Recovery does not treat discharge as an endpoint.

The clinical distinction is the CT-R framework and the 11-bed maximum. iRely Recovery leads with clinical infrastructure: Joint Commission Gold Seal, ASAM Level 3.5, a named medical director, weekly plan reviews, and 13 integrated modalities. The boutique residential setting supports clinical outcomes, it is not the product.
